Thomsit P625 2K PU-Parquet Adhesive: Powerful Adhesive for Wooden Floors

What is Thomsit P625 2K PU-Parquet Adhesive?

Thomsit P625 2K PU-Parquet Adhesive is a high-quality, solvent-free two-component polyurethane adhesive, specially designed for bonding various types of wooden floors. This adhesive is suitable for solid parquet, pre-finished parquet and laminate floors. Thanks to its versatile properties, Thomsit P625 can be used on various substrates such as sand-cement screeds, chipboard, OSB boards, natural stone, tiles and terrazzo. The adhesive cures completely, regardless of the layer thickness, and meets the highest standards for occupational safety, indoor air quality and environmental friendliness.

How the product works

Thomsit P625 works through a chemical reaction between the two components, resin and hardener. When used, these components are mixed into a homogeneous mixture, which is then evenly applied to the substrate with a suitable notched trowel. The adhesive bonds quickly and provides a strong, durable connection between the wooden floor and the substrate. The product has a working time of approximately 60 minutes and the floor is walkable after 24 hours. For optimal adhesion, it is important that the substrate is clean, dry and free of dust and grease.

Advantages and properties

Thomsit P625 offers numerous advantages. It is solvent-free and contains no water, contributing to a healthier indoor air quality. The adhesive has very low emissions and is suitable for underfloor heating. In addition, the product is easy to mix and apply. It provides excellent adhesion on various substrates and is suitable for both light and heavy wooden floors. The cured adhesive is resistant to temperatures up to +50 °C and ensures a durable, wear-resistant connection that can withstand daily use.

Instructions for use

For using Thomsit P625, thoroughly mix the two components (resin and hardener) by piercing multiple holes in the plastic plug of the upper container, allowing the hardener to flow into the bucket below. Mix the whole for at least 2 minutes with an electric drill with stirring element until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Apply the adhesive evenly to the substrate with a suitable notched trowel, depending on the type of wooden floor. Ensure that the underside of the wood is well coated with adhesive and avoid adhesive on the edges. After laying the floorboards, remove the spacers and allow the floor to cure for at least 24 hours before walking on or sanding it.

Maintenance and advice

For long-lasting adhesion and optimal indoor air quality, make sure the substrate is completely dry and clean before starting gluing. Follow the recommended working conditions and ensure good ventilation during and after applying the adhesive. Avoid contact with skin and eyes, wear protective clothing and gloves when working with the adhesive. Clean tools immediately after use with industrial alcohol. Thomsit P625 has a shelf life of approximately 12 months when stored cool and dry. Fully cured product residues can be disposed of as industrial waste.
