What is Kerakoll Aqua-Pur Flex?
Kerakoll Aqua-Pur Flex is an eco-friendly, water-based gel, specifically developed for grouting and pre-treating wooden floors such as solid wood and multi-layer parquet. This product is a 1-component gel, solvent-free, and fiber-reinforced, making it flexible and durable. Aqua-Pur Flex ensures a uniform joint, regulates the absorption of the wood, and offers fast drying without sagging. These properties make it ideal for use in indoor areas, especially in combination with finishing products from the Aqua-Pur series, such as Aqua-Pur Basic, Basic Rapid, HP, and HPX. Aqua-Pur Flex is not suitable for use on wooden floors exposed to prolonged contact with water or outdoor use.
How does Kerakoll Aqua-Pur Flex work?
Kerakoll Aqua-Pur Flex is mixed with wood powder obtained from sanding the parquet. This mixture creates a thixotropic substance with a long working time, which can be easily applied with a spatula. For large gaps and defects, a thicker mixture is needed (mixing ratio 1:1), while for smaller gaps, a thinner mixture suffices (mixing ratio 3:1). After application with a spatula, the gel is sanded after about 30 minutes to remove excess material. This results in a smooth and even surface, ready for further finishing with varnish or oil.

Mix the Aqua-Pur Flex gel with wood flour in the correct ratio, depending on the size of the gaps to be filled. Apply the gel evenly with a stainless steel or plastic spatula and allow it to harden for about 30 minutes. Then sand with a fine sanding net to remove excess material and thoroughly clean the floor. Tools should be cleaned immediately after use with water.

Kerakoll Aqua-Pur Flex is a professional product that should be used within the recommended temperature range of +5 °C to +30 °C. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and heat sources. Always check the suitability of the product on unknown wood types and ensure a stable ambient temperature and humidity.
