FAQs
1. For both a new and renovated floor, the wood must be sanded/polished with grit 80/100/120 and must be clean, dry, free of grease, oil, wax and dust. An exception is the color “whitewashed”: A final polishing with 80/100 grit is recommended here. 2. Stir/shake the oil well and pour/roll sparingly onto the surface. The consumption per layer is approximately 20 g/m² on oak and up to 40 g/m² on highly absorbent wood types. Then spread evenly thinly with an oil/lacquer trowel or oil roller. Always work in sections on large surfaces. 3. Allow the oil to penetrate for 20-30 minutes and, if necessary, Add water where the floor absorbs more quickly. Then massage with a polishing machine and green pad until the surface is saturated and no longer looks damp. Remove excess material. 4. Rub dry within a maximum of 4-6 hours with the polishing machine and white pad. 5. Depending on the humidity and temperature, the oiled floor can be fully loaded after 2-3 days. Protect from water during this time
